I've taught English and debate to middle and high school students in South Korea and Connecticut, working one-on-one with students who ranged from barely any experience with English to those who were some of the top high school debaters in the country. Hobbies
I'm a Yale grad headed off to Columbia Law School, with a wide range of teaching experiences around the US and the world. Academically, I'm interested in a number of issues related to law and public life. On the legal end, I'm really interested in the interface of law and technology, especially when it comes to issues dealing with communications and national security and privacy issues. I'm also interested in some of the intellectual property questions that go along with this, as well as constitutional law more generally. In another arena, I'm also fascinated by a lot of the issues dealing with both urban politics and design, and what it is that makes cities successful both economically and as places that provide their residents a high quality of life. For fun, I'm big into hiking and exploring the Pacific Northwest, as well as discovering new foods and other urban delights here and around the country.
